The Beckett on Film project, produced by Blue Angel Films, and funded by RTÉ, Channel 4, Bord Scannán na hEireann and Tyrone Productions, brings all 19 of Samuel Beckett’s stage plays to the screen. In attracting film-makers to the project, the producers cast their nets wide, bringing together an intriguing selection of internationally established directors – among them Atom Egoyan, Patricia Rozema, Neil Jordan, Anthony Minghella, Karel Reisz and Richard Eyre – and emerging Irish directors, including Damien O’Donnell, Conor McPherson, Enda Hughes, Kieron J. Walsh and John Crowley.
